Congratulations to all Rocky Bowlers

Rocky Bowlers,

This bowl season erupted with a huge bang, with Arizona coming from behind in such dramatic fashion, and seamed to whimper out even before Notre Dame punted the ball a third time in 6 plays.  But we had some GREAT games in between, didn’t we?

 

We hope the Rocky Bowl is never about the money but we do offer the same purse each year with the extra going to expenses for the Rocky Bowl party and then charity.  Congratulations go to the top six finishers below.

We had several good suggestions of where the donation could be given this year and chose a Multi Care Health Foundation that offered Hospice care to one of our long time bowlers who passed this year. 

Barbara “Bling” Mason loved each and every bowl game played year after year.

We will miss her.

The commissioners hope that our mission was meet which is watch meaningless football games with passion, have fun, enjoy the banter and have a little hope that this is the year you will finish on top.  

We hope to bowl with you next year and stay tuned as we expect some changes next year to add extra opportunities to cash in next year with more winning options.

“Be Safe Out There”

This is it Rocky Bowlers ...

You made it to the Fictitious BCS National Championship game. Rocky bowlers can rest easy that our Champion was decided before this farce of a game.  But, there is still plenty of prize money to be decided tonight.  So, you will need to stay tuned.  The Final results for both outcomes of the game 2nite have been posted on the Blog.

Congratulations to Steve "The Soss" Sossaman, aka "I'm Sauced man".  That's really what it takes to win the Rockybowl after all. Just a few drinks and few picks with precision placement of the 35 and the 1.  Maybe Steve could share his strategy with us.  Dart Board?  Spin the bottle?  Some sort of drinking game to determine winners?  In any event, all he needs to really do is bring up the Rockybowl website and say "Scoreboard baby, scoreboard".

And then there is the Toilet Bowl winner, Brad "Brother who works" Ericksen who edged out Kendall "It's good to be a Viking' Dunkley and CJ 'Showtime' Stafford for the bottom spot.  "Showtime" becomes the first Rockybowler on record to finish 2nd one year and 2nd to last the next. Sorry, no prize money for being the second to last loser. 

What can I say about 'Brother who Works",  the first Rocky Bowler to win the Bobbi Breeze, The overall Rocky bowl Championship and the Toilet Bowl.  You are good man, thanks for playing. He predicted his fate at the Rocky Bowl party, and he was right.  He was wrong about Wisconsin winning the Rose Bowl, but hey, he won the Toilet Bowl.  It sounds like he needs to take some time off of work next year to make his picks,  Or perhaps he can ask his twin brother "Underworked" to make his picks for him.

Let the Games Begin

The big day has finally arrived where most bowlers will pack it up and head home. A few of us will however stand up and shout," I AM MAD AS HELL AND AM NOT GOING TO LOSE ANY MORE".  I am planning on making my run today and with 176 points played on today's games I will be 6 for 6 and near the top of the bowlers.  BOOK ON IT

Yesterday was a tragic day for my friends who back USC,  with only 7 bowlers predicting the low that USC would finish the year on.  I love the way Kippen has taken a top program and ruined it, similar to a UW coach I have sworn never to say his name again. 

As you look at the scoring sheet, be sure to view the real page and that is "Scoring Sheet PP', which is Points Possible.  The bowlers at the top of this sheet are the real players and leaders. 

I do want to congratulate "Mr Steak" who showed some real muscle to win the Bobby Breeze award but with one day in the books after this great achievement he has failed to keep up the pace.  Now as you view the reader board do not worry about Bill Tannay, as any bowler who's name is "TuTu" will never win this contest, the commissioners will see to it, we can change numbers and will.  Notice Brad "the brother who works" Erickson who won both the Bobby Breeze and overall Rocky Bowl just two years ago as a rookie is VERY likely to be in the winnings again, but in last place with the Toilet Bowl trophy.  (He did travel from Minnesota to Seattle to attend the Rocky Bowl Party so I will be gentle on this loser)
