HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOo Rocky Bowlers,

Welcome rookies to the Rockybowl and welcome back old timers.

“Its good to be a Viking” was working out on her three wheel bike on the Rockybowl charter season; we now have a professional gambler, “The Greek” who is struggling to keep up with some of the middle school kids, and Brian, who you will meet at the Rocky Bowl party is amazed with the quality players we attract.  And look at this, cookie dough is right up at the top with some great picks to come. Cookie if you should win the Bobby Breeze award we will spell your names correctly.   We have some more Redisheimers join us this year but hell they are from Kansas we what do they know about football, they think it is round and goes into a hoop.  We also have some “Good Neighbors” joining us this year.  I wish all of the Rookies Good luck and that they enjoy their first year.

Rookies and old timers do not forget the  Rockybowl party next Saturday, December 29th at my home here in Renton.  More details to follow, but is a GREAT holiday event with scrumptious food, good company , and the leaders will be wearing the yellow jersey.  At the end of the party the Bobbie Breeze trophy will be awarded to the half way leader.

Good Luck and enjoy the bowling

I smell a cheat ...

Wow shocking.......3 Michigan Football player's suspended for violations of Team Rules, including a Kicker for god's sake and now the QB running into the Law.  He paid the fine....with what, gave the Cop some Tickets to the game?

If Teddy "Blue Balls" Guthrie ends up in any of the Top 5 Money positions in this Year's RockyBowl, The Commissioner's have the right to HOLD his money until further Cheating Investigations are complete.

BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson has pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended license and remains eligible to play in the Outback Bowl against South Carolina.
Wolverines spokesman David Ablauf said Tuesday that Robinson paid a fine and faces no additional punishment from the school.

And the fun begins ... Master Sheet Posted

Hello Everyone ---

The leading game in this year's Rocky Bowl did NOT disappoint.  It was a clear reminder that there are great games to watch and pay attention to other than the fake BCS National Championship game.

Arizona scores twice in the final 46 seconds and stuns Nevada to win Rocky Bowlers 1270 RBS Points and steals 140 RBS points from 21 Rocky Bowlers.  That's how we are here at the Rocky Bowl.

And to top it off, did you see those 2 Arizona teammates duking out.  I read one of their lips.  He said, "What, you forgot to turn in my Rocky Bowl Sheet ...  You big dummy", POW.  If you weren't one of the 93 entrants who got their picks in on time, see you next year.  If you are one of the 93, hang on for the ride, get your popcorn ready, it's gonna be a show.

The Master Score sheet has been reviewed by all 3 commissioners and it is posted on the Rocky Bowl Site. Now, just because it has been reviewed, it doesn't make it correct. You are responsible for reviewing that your entry is properly posted.  You have until Thursday, Dec 20 at 5:00pm to report any errors or omissions to the Rocky Bowl email at rockybowl@live.com.

Click here, on the link to the left or the Leaderboard picture up top.  Review your scores and stay tuned for fun facts to be added to the Master sheet later this week.   And don't forget to signup to receive mobile Tweets from @rockybowl on Twitter, visit the Facebook page "Rocky Bowl Friends" or comment and blog here on the official Rocky Bowl Site.  We do want to hear from you.

Thanks for playing,

The RBS Commissioners

Tweeting & Blogging for Dummies

The Senior Commissioners have asked for a primer on Tweeting and Blogging.  They remember the day of long email threads created by using the “any idiot can do it “function called “Reply All”.  This activity lead to ranting and raving amongst friends that reached each other within hours.  The Huskies “Coug’d it” you say; well, the Cougars played their bowl game against the Huskies, so there!! (2012 Apple Cup: WSU 27, UW 24 OT)!

The Rocky Bowl was built on email bantering, and now we want to ensure our arrival in the Social Media age and utilize Twitter and BlogSpot to deliver your unfiltered thoughts for all to read.
In case you have been in a cave, the social media age has begun.  Tweets, Blogs, Likes, Friending and changing relationship status for all friends to read within seconds is in vogue.  Any device (PC’s, MAC’s, mobile phones, windows surface or mini-pads ) can receive critical and sometimes private thoughts from our friends, relatives and strangers.  Social media is here to stay and you old farts need to figure it out in order to fit into society.  Relax mates, the Rocky Bowl is your training ground.
In order to authenticate your Rocky Bowl Entry, you will be required to tweet or blog before it will be logged on the master sheet.
